Here’s downtown Vancouver as it looked from my hotel room at 8:15 this morning.  Not bad for the 2nd floor, eh?  (It could have been worse — I could be in the room right next to the lobby.)  That said, something tells me this is a seasonal view…

Here we’re looking down the Kingsway corridor to downtown.  These clear skies finally brought some cold temperatures back this morning, which means that Vancouver may still have some winter left in her.

See those majestic mountains in the background of that very urban-looking photo above?  Those are The Lions, and they are very close to Cypress Mountain, the Olympic venue for snowboarding and freestyle skiing.  That snow looks pretty fresh to me…a little more of the real stuff to replace the snow Olympic organizers have been making (just in case) is a very good thing.

And now that the weather seems under control, I think I’ll go have a coffee — I just developed a craving.  (Yeah, I know…very Pavlov of me.)
