Many thanks to Dan, my friend two islands over, and host of Galiano’s food blog: IslandEat. He has bestowed the coveted Sunshine Award upon little ol’ Island Vittles — and for that, I say “Thanks Dan!”
When one receives the Sunshine Award, she or he must:
1. Nominate 12 bloggers.
2. Put the award logo onto the sidebar or within a post.
3. Link to the nominees within that post.
4. Let the nominees know they’ve received this award by commenting on their blogs.
5. FInally, link to the person from whom one has received this award
Now I have a number of blogs that I follow and love. But I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen this award on a few of them already — so I’m going to a different way — my recipients are all young, mostly teen-aged, food bloggers. And I have only 5 recipients. Call me lame, if you will. Twelve is a lot — that’s all I’m saying.
I admire them for following their passion while so young, and for sticking with it — blogging is a lot of work! I’m also inspired by their creativity. Just look at what they’ve done:

You are building a solid platform, which is something the US foodies particularly love. It takes tremendously hard work to blog daily, especially accompanied by the brilliant photos you provide–nicely set up, too. That is a whole job in itself–I know, I did it once for a foodie mag I also wrote for, a la carte, now defunct sadly.
